Methods of adaptation in the boarding school from the point of view of educators

The diploma thesis is entitled: Methods of adaptation to a boarding school from the perspective of educators and it deals with the process of adaptation of new students from the perspective of an educator. The theoretical part deals with the institution of a boarding school and educators working in it, describes the process and selected methods of adaptation and last but not least, focuses on the specifics of youth of high school age. The practical part of the thesis firstly describes in detail the research methodology and then presents the resulting information collected through a mixed (qualitative and quantitative) form of research. The aim of this paper is to learn what methods the educators use to make the process of adaptation of new students at boarding schools easier.
Cell Phone as a Companion for Boarding School Students

The thesis deals with the importance of cell phones for boarding school students. The first part of the thesis deals with the basic concepts, i.e. boarding houses, adolescence, especially in the field of emotional development and socialization. Also, attention is focused on cell phones and researches that have been conducted in this area. The thesis also presents the results of a qualitative research conducted via interviews with five respondents. It connects these with theoretical knowledge of the relation between psychosocial development and cyberspace as well as with the issue of internet addiction and risky behavior in adolescence and the issue of online communities and social networks.
The level of exercise of The High School of Pedagogy students

This bachelor thesis deals with Level of Physical Exercise of Students of High School of Education in Prachatice, who spend the majority of time with sedentary activities. This paper is divided into two parts, theory and practice. Theoretical part contains historical and contemporary information about physical activity and its importance. Other chapters describe puberty, its specifics and importance of the teacher´s participation in the educational process. Final chapters deal with motivation, free time and functioning of dormitories. In practical part physical exercise is being analyzed with questionnaires. The research was made with students of Hing School of Education in Prachatice. 78 respondents participated in the research. Final data were examined and evaluated. Conclusion of the paper comes with suggestion of boosting physical activity in analyzed group of students.
Quality management of selected school educational and accommodation facilities

This thesis deals with the quality management of selected school educational and accommodation facility, specifically a youth home operating at the secondary school. The theoretical basis of the thesis covers areas such as upbringing, education, quality management in the broader sense, and quality management with specifics in education. The research section contains an analysis of the survey object, for which the structure of a self- evaluation report is proposed in the context of quality management. Included is a pilot evaluation performed based on the created questionnaire, interview, and monitored data. Additionally, a draft is provided of possible recommendations for quality improvement and pertinent adjustments to the documents of the youth home. The main resource for the empirical part of the study and following autoevaluation report are mainly Quality criteria of the Czech School Inspectorate in modification for youth homes. Internal order of youth home with the focus on disciplinary punishment

5 ABSTRACT The goal of this bachelor thesis is to find out and describe the internal rules organization of selected youth homes. To analyze different parts of internal rules, compare them with legislature and with one another. To ascertain what motivational system or system of upbringing measures is being used, how is it defined, where is it saved and who intro- duces it to the students. To determine which behavioral action appears to be beneficial for lack of students' discipline in these institutions and how can such behavior be de- manded. In the theoretical part one can find the mapping of youth homes organizational structure. Attention will be given to legislature that is necessary for functioning of such institutions in the Czech Republic and the internal rules necessary for operation will be also mentioned. The main role of these institutions will not be dismissed. In the practical part of this thesis one can find the analysis of internal rules of two selected youth homes, that will be compared with the legislative scope. Through the study of pedagogical documentation, student and instructor surveys and deep structured interviews with selected employees of the two identified youth homes, one will discover which upbringing measures are used, how employees apply them and what are the op- portunities or...

Abstract The present research work deals with the influence of education to active leisure of adolescents accommodated in the school facility. It is mapping their leisure time physical activity and their relation to sport. First part focuses on specific characteristic of secondary school students in the field of developmental psychology. The following chapter is devoted to terminological concept of leisure time, physical activities, sport and its differentiation and also lifestyle. Second part maps with quantitative method of the survey the current state of leisure time physical activities of accommodated students of secondary school, secondary vocational school and grammar school . After that I chose the method of structured interviews with educators of individual educational groups. In conclusion of this work are stated the recommendations for theory and practice resulting from the facts of empirical investigation.
